前回のブログ更新からかなり時間が経ってしまいました。。。

全てのパーツの原型を新たに作るのに数ヶ月。

今までは市販のポーセレンスリップ （泥漿・液状粘土とも言う）を使っていたのですが、今回はポーセリンスリップ 作りに再挑戦しました。以前挑戦した時は全然うまくいかなくて、途中で諦めてしまいました。市販のポーセリンスリップ もまだ残ってたし。

勉強不足で知らなかったのですが、磁器粘土といっても種類がたくさんあって、焼き上がりの質感や色がそれぞれ違うんです。焼成温度を変えたり、特徴の違う粘土を混ぜたり、水ガラスや着色剤の配合を変えて試作を重ね、ようやく満足のいくポーセレンスリップが出来ました！しっとり滑らかな肌触りが最高です。

現在、3月15日のドールショウ59春に向けてビスクドールを製作中です。新作６体を目標に、３体はすでに組み立て完了、今は残り３体分の素焼きパーツを磨いています。予備も含めて４体分焼いたのですが、もう胸のパーツを割ってしまいました。

残り１ヶ月、果たして間に合うのか。６体分のウィッグとランジェリーもこれから作らねば。あっ、ドール用スタンドと箱もだ！とにかく頑張ります！

Wow, it has been so long since the last article.

I’ve been working on a new doll (new model and new parts) for several months.

I’ve also made my original porcelain slip. I had this idea for long time. I tried making porcelain slip from scratch before, but none of them came out great, so I gave up then. I still had store-bought porcelain slip too.

I didn’t know that there are many kinds of porcelain clays available in Japan (could be more in other countries), and each of them are different in texture and color. I tested many times changing firing temperature, mixing clays, changing amount of silicate and coloring. And I finally made the porcelain slip which is better than the one I had been using. I love the super silky touch.

Currently, I am making porcelain dolls for Doll Show 59 Spring, which will be held in Asakusa, Tokyo on March 15. I am planning to bring 6 new dolls to the doll show event. Three dolls are already assembled, and I am now sanding soft-fired parts for 3 more dolls. I made extra parts just in case, but I already broke one upper body part…

There is only one month left, and I still need to make 6 wigs and lingeries. Oh, and doll stands and boxes! I will do my best!
